Jersey Asbestos Ltd is a leading asbestos management and removal company providing safe, professional and compliant asbestos services across Jersey. Due to continued business growth, we are looking for a Non-Licensed Asbestos Operative to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is reliable, hardworking and looking to build a long-term career in the asbestos industry. Previous experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out non-licensed asbestos removal work in accordance with current legislation and company procedures.
- Assist with site set-up, preparation and decontamination.
- Safely use and maintain PPE and RPE.
- Follow risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site safety.
- Work professionally with colleagues, clients and other contractors.
- Complete job records and site documentation accurately.
Essential Requirements
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Good awareness of health and safety.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of manual work.
- Good communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, demolition, environmental services or asbestos-related work.
- Non-Licensed Asbestos Removal training (UKATA or equivalent).
- Face-fit tested for respiratory protective equipment.
Full training will be provided to applicants who do not already hold the relevant asbestos qualifications.
